Patricia Fallon
Professor, Department of Art

Office: Fritzsche Print Area
Teaches: Painting, Drawing and Printmaking

Born in Cartagena, Colombia, Professor Fallon is a painter and printmaker who considers herself a colorist with a strength in drawing. She frequently exhibits in local and national juried shows, and her work hangs in collections in both hemispheres. Prof. Fallon found her particular visual voice by advocating for social justice: whether passively recording social situations or actively addressing their results, her work strives to give voice to those we cannot hear and choose not to see. Recent prints and paintings have addressed the situation in Darfur, the homeless, women in transition, and human greed, though periodically the colorist in Prof. Fallon breaks out, and a lovely series occurs without reference to anything but joy.

Rosaria Perna, OSU
Associate Professor, Department of Art
M.F.A., Kent State University
rperna@ursuline.edu
440 684 6093
Office: Fritzsche Mac Lab
Teaches: Visual Communication Design

Professor Perna works in graphite, mixed media, and water color, though her current focus is digital art. Her work involves issues of both mental health and the environment, as well as reflects her passionate love of nature and the landscapes of the American West. Born in Italy, Prof. Perna spent her childhood years in England before moving to the United States. While participating in New York University's Master's program she lived and worked Venice, Italy and New York City. Prof. Perna has exhibited in the Washington Square Galleries in New York and several local Ohio shows and events.

Diane Therese Pinchot, OSU
Professor, Department of Art
M.F.A., Ohio University
dpinchot@ursuline.edu
440 684 6092
Office: Fritzsche Ceramics Studio
Teaches: Ceramics and Metals

Over the last 20 years, Professor Pinchot has been inspired by the Central American martyrs, especially Dorothy Kazel, a fellow member of the Ursuline community, to become more active in social justice groups both locally and nationally. Prof. Pinchot believes in the deep and sacred connection between active engagement in justice work and the visual arts, especially when grounded in faith, love and nonviolence. Her artwork reflects this commitment, and has come to use narrative to engage the viewer in questioning the meaning behind the form. Prof. Pinchot's ceramics are regularly included in international, national and regional juried exhibits.
