Drama Workshop

Every year, Ursuline College English Department Drama Workshop produces a play which is performed for the campus community.  Past workshops include the 2015 production of "To Bind Up the Wounds," based on a book by Professor Emeritus Sr. Mary Denis Maher and written by students and alumnae from Ursuline. An ensemble production of "The Belle of Amherst," about Emily Dickinson, was performed in 2016, and "Scenes from Snapshots" was staged in 2017 with students in the Theater Production class.

The 2018 Workshop is "In Memory of the Children," a one-act educational theater montage which honors young people affected by the Holocaust. Originally compiled for Great Works Productions, the program toured to schools throughout Northeast Ohio to encourage students to further explore literature and history of that time, in addition to experiencing live theater.

Drama Workshop participation is open to all Ursuline students, staff, and alumnae, as well as those enrolled in the Production class.  If you would like to be involved in next year's production, please contact a faculty member in the English Department.
