Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The BSN program at Ursuline dates back over a century, and the extensive experience shows. Students are given the best opportunity to succeed at Ursuline, starting with the unique direct-admission policy. Qualified students will be admitted directly into the Breen School of Nursing. Because students do not have to wait to apply to the nursing program later in their college career, they gain invaluable early clinical experience at world-renowned institutions. Time is spent in every department-from critical care to psychiatric to pediatrics- so that students are skilled practitioners in any position they're in after graduation. This broad experience also helps students decide on a specialty in nursing, helping them make an informed decision when requesting a practicum location or job after graduation.

When the time comes to take the NCLEX exam, the exam all RNs must take to receive their license, Ursuline students have nothing to worry about. With exams throughout their academic career designed like the NCLEX to prepare them and a first time pass rate well above the national average, they can be assured that Breen has prepared them to succeed. The school is affiliated with internationally renowned healthcare institutions and is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Ursuline College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
