NORTH CANTON, OHIO - The Ursuline College women's basketball team (5-22, 1-15) returned to action on Thursday Night, after its Tuesday night home game was postponed due to winter storms. The Arrows fell, 91-55, to Walsh University (20-7, 13-3), but the story of the game was
Brittany Nair (Valley City, Ohio/Chicago State) who scored a game-high 24 points and set a new single-season scoring record for the Arrows.
Entering the contest, Nair ranked 12th in the nation in total points scored. She now has 482 points on the season, which establishes a new single-season record for the Arrows basketball program, surpassing Whitney Blackburn's total of 459 points scored last season.
Nair has scored in double-figures in 23 of her 26 games played this season, including 13 straight. She has scored 20 or more points 14 times this season and in five of her last six games.
Laura Campbell (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer) joined Nair in double-figures with 16 points. For Campbell, it is her 20th game this season scoring in double-figures.
Walsh came out strong shooting 56.4% from the field in the first half to overcome Nair's hot hand, taking a 56-34 lead into half and never looking back.
