Nationally Ranked Cedarville tops Ursuline, 85-57

PEPPER PIKE, OHIO - The Ursuline College women's basketball team (6-23, 2-16) dropped its second-to-last home game of the 2009-10 season to nationally ranked Cedarville University on Thursday night, 85-57.

Brittany Nair (Valley City, Ohio/Chicago State), who recently established a new school record for most points in a single-season, scored a team-high 17 points. With her seven field goals, she established a new record for most field goals made in a season for Ursuline.

Chelsea Ciptak (Akron, Ohio/Urbana) joined Nair in double-figures with 12 points, for her second-straight game with 10 or more points. She also recorded two more blocked shots, moving her single-season total to a team-high 27. Her blocked shots total ranks fourth in the Arrows single-season record books.

Cedarville had four players reach double-figures, while Alison Lemon scored a game-high 24 points. Aubrey Siemon scored 10 points and had a game-high 13 rebounds.

Ursuline College will close out its regular-season on Saturday, February 20th at 2:00 p.m. when the Arrows play host to Carlow. Carlow defeated Ursuline earlier this season on the road, 82-72.
