Nair Named to AMC All-Second Team;
Campbell Named to All-Freshman Team

March 3, 2010

CEDARVILLE, OHIO - Ursuline College guard Brittany Nair (Valley City, Ohio/Chicago State) was named the American Mideast Conference All-Second Team, while Laura Campbell (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer) was named to the All-Freshman Team.

Nair, who was named AMC Player of the Week in December, scored 546 points on the season and a 18.2 scoring average, converting on 187 field goals, each of which established new records for the program. She also made 94 free throws which ranked third all-time, and ranked sixth all-time with 62 three-pointers. Her season was so productive that her career point total and field goals made each rank eighth all-time, while her scoring average would establish a new program high. She also ranks fourth all-time in three-pointers made (71) and eighth in free throws made (107).

Campbell, who was second on the team with a 12.8 scoring average and 140 rebounds, scored in double-figures 22 times this season. She had two different games of over 20 points, including a season-high 28 points against Daemen College on December 4, 2009.

Nair ranked fourth in the conference in points scored and scoring average, while Campbell ranked 19th in scoring and 20th in scoring average. They also both ranked high in three-pointers made on the season, with Nair ranking third and Campbell 12th.
