Joe Ciarrochi is entering his second season as Head Coach of the newly formed Ursuline College Bowling team. Ciarrochi, an accomplished bowler as a young adult, refined his bowling career by working with world renowned instructor and Team USA coach Fred Borden.

Ciarrochi qualified as an amateur to bowl in the 1986 US Open in Venice FL. He then bowled competitively for over 10 years with many top tournament finishes in Northeastern Ohio, with two tournament wins. He owns 12 - 300 games with a high series of 840.

Ciarrochi is a certified USBC coach, who stresses fundamentals and believes a good coach should blend them with the bowlers' personal style. A former PBA member and regional professional, he had the opportunity of working under Team USA Coach Borden for many years, not only being taught, but helping him teach other top notch bowlers. He also has worked extensively with the psychology of competing as an athlete.

Outside of bowling, Ciarrochi is the former Head Girls Basketball Coach at St. Vincent- St Mary High School. He currently resides in Akron with his wife of 24 years Dawn, and his two daughters, Angela, who is a former Ursuline College basketball player, and Ashley. His family is also members of St. Matthew's Parrish.
