Arrows in fourth after first round of AMC Golf Championships

April 19, 2010

The Ursuline College women's golf team shot a four-player total of 396, good enough to stand fourth after the first round of the American Mideast Conference Championship on Monday at Berkshire Hills Country Club.

Senior Ashlee King (Mentor, Ohio) paced the Arrows by shooting a 91, which included a chip-in birdie on number eight and puts her in eighth place overall.

Senior Anitra Brisco (Brookville, Ohio) shot a impressive round of 93, that included six one-putts and only two three-putts on the afternoon.

Junior Amy Harrison (University Heights, Ohio) shot an 98, putting her inside the top-20 overall.

Ursuline will look to improve on its score and standing in the AMC Championships, with round two taking place on Tuesday morning. The Arrows are currently 15 strokes behind the University of Northwestern Ohio for third place.
