Arrows Tops John Carroll By One Stroke

The Ursuline College golf team won a head-to-head match-up with John Carroll University this past weekend, winning by just one stroke short 385-386. Senior Ashlee King (Mentor, Ohio) paced the Arrows by shooting the best score of the competition.

Junior Amy Harrison's (University Heights, Ohio) score of 92 and senior Anitra Brisco's (Brookville, Ohio) score of 93 earned them both top five finishes overall.

Freshman Jessica Kocab (Mentor, Ohio), junior Katherine Giannaris (Silver Lake, Ohio), and junior Julianne Petriella (Highland Heights, Ohio) rounded out the scoring for Ursuline, shooting 114, 115 and 119 respectively.

Ursuline College will next compete at rival Notre Dame College on October 9, 2009, before wrapping up their 2009 schedule on October 16, 2009 at home against Lake Erie College.
