Soccer announces four more additions to 2011 recruiting class

The Ursuline College Soccer program is excited to announce the addition of four more student-athletes to its already impressive 2011 recruiting class. Joining Paige Rowan, Anna Feitl, Jules Turiczek, Callie Ray, and Brittany Prato, will be: Kelsey Bascombe (Mantua, Ohio), Cleo Bowers (Tiffin, Ohio), Danielle Sturwold (Sidney, Ohio), and Amanda Ponchak (Parma, Ohio).

Ursuline Soccer to host Pancake Breakfast

The Ursuline College women's soccer program will host a Pancake Breakfast at Ursuline College - Daley Dining Hall on Sunday March 27, 2011 from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. It will be all you can eat pancakes, including regular, blueberry, and chocolate chip, plus eggs, sausage, and hash browns.

The Ursuline College Soccer program has had back-to-back winning seasons, and has established back-to-back record win totals for the program. Cassie Fischer earns OCSA All-Ohio First Team honors

The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association, which is part of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced its 2010 Women’s Soccer All-Ohio First Team. Freshman Cassie Fischer was named to the First Team, as one of four forwards, made up from NCAA Division II and NAIA programs in the state of Ohio.

Cassie Fischer leads group of six Arrows receiving All-Conference honors

The American Mideast Conference has announced its 2010 Women's Soccer All-Conference honors. Freshman Cassie Fischer was named to the AMC All-Second Team, while five other Ursuline College Arrows were named Honorable Mentions.

Fischer scores two goals, including game-winner in double-OT to top Carlow, 2-1

The Ursuline College Soccer team (10-7, 4-6), just a year after winning a school-record nine games, won its tenth game of the year as the Arrows concluded their 2010 campaign. Freshman Cassie Fischer finished the season with a team-high 10 goals, scoring twice - including the game-winner - in a double-overtime, 2-1 victory against Carlow on Saturday afternoon.

The Ursuline College Soccer game scheduled for Tuesday, October 26 against American Mideast Conference opponent, Walsh University has been postponed due to expected severe thurderstorms in the Canton area. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 27 at 3:30 p.m.

The Ursuline College Soccer team (9-6, 3-5) earned its fourth-straight shutout win, with a 1-0 victory over American Mideast Conference opponent, Malone University on Thursday afternoon. Freshman Cassie Fischer, who had three goals and an assist in the last game for Ursuline, scored the game-winning goal in the first half.

The Ursuline College Soccer team (8-6, 2-5) earned its third-straight shutout win, with a 5-0 victory over Ava Maria as it concluded its Fall Break Trip to Florida. Freshman Cassie Fischer had three goals and an assist in the win. Heather Beachy and Amanda Shay also scored a goal each.

Ursuline's road contest against Florida Memorial has been cancelled

The Ursuline women's soccer game scheduled for Sunday, October 17 has been cancelled. The game was scheduled to be one of two played in Florida as part of the fall break road trip for Ursuline. The Arrows are scheduled to play Ava Maria on Tuesday, October 19 before returning home to face Malone on Thursday, October 21.

Flick's hat-trick leads Ursuline past Penn State Beaver, 7-0

Freshman Haylie Flick scored her first collegiate goal on Friday afternoon, and added her second and third goals as the Ursuline College soccer program (7-6) dominated Penn State Beaver 7-0. The three goals for Flick is more than Ursuline has scored as a team in a single game this season. Heather Beacky, Taylor Bogard, Cassie Fischer and Amanda Shay each had a goal to round out the scored for the Arrows.

Ursuline shuts out Point Park, 2-0

The Ursuline College soccer program (6-6, 2-5) returned to .500 overall on the season with a 2-0 shutout victory over American Mideast Conference opponent, Point Park University. Freshman defender Brittney Cook and junior defender Leah Sweet provided the scoring offense for the Arrows as each scored a goal, with Cook assisting on Sweet's goal.

Ursuline awarded forfeit win over Penn State Dubois

The Ursuline College soccer program has been awarded a forfeit victory over Penn State Dubois, improving its overall record to 5-6. The Arrows and the Lions were scheduled to play on October 15, 2010, but after Penn State Dubois cancelled the game Ursuline was awarded the victory by the NAIA this afternoon.

Ursuline College gave up three first half goals and then made a tremendous comeback having at least three chances to tie the game before time expired and Seton Hill took home a 3-2 victory on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Hillary Crookston (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) scored her first goal of the season, which proved to the be game-winning golden goal in the first overtime of the Arrows 1-0 win over Hilbert College, improving the Arrows to 2-0 on the season.

Behind two goals from freshman Cassie Fischer in her first collegiate action, the Ursuline College Women's Soccer team opened its season with a victory over Trine University on Wednesday afternoon. The Arrows went down 1-0 on the road in the first half, but managed to rebound and win with a pair of goals by Fischer.

Soccer's Ally Tagliarina wins Ursuline Champions of Character Award

On Sunday, the Ursuline College Athletic Department held its annual Year-End Athletic Banquet, which honors the accomplishments of each athletic program and all of the individual student-athletes. At the conclusion of the banquet, the highest of honors is awarded to one student-athlete. The winner of the 2010 Champions of Character Award was senior Ally Tagliarina of the soccer program.
