In game one, Ciara Seymour (New Port Richey, Fla./JW Mitchell HS) guided the Arrows to another win on the mound with the complete game five hit shutout. Offensively she drove in two runs on three hits in four at-bats.
On the mound, Seymour struck out two and did not walk a runner for the second straight start. The victory improved her season record to 4-2, after she started the season 1-2.
Leadoff hitter Kristen Roznoski (Columbia Station, Ohio/Columbia HS) also went 3-for-4 at the plate. She scored once and stole one base.
In game two, Seymour started and pitched just 2.2 innings, giving up three runs, before being replaced by Jessica Seaman (Parma, Ohio/Cuyahoga CC), who pitched the final 4.1 innings.
The Arrows had three player?s record two hits, but left nine runners on base in the 4-1 loss.
Hillary Beachy (Warren, Ohio/Champion HS) went 4-for-7 over the two games.
Ursuline will open their home schedule on Friday, March 26th against Thiel College. Game one of the doubleheader is schedule to start at 3:30 p.m.
