In the first game, Ursuline took a 7-5 lead into the bottom of the seventh after scoring six times in the sixth inning to claim the lead. However, three runs by Geneva on two hits gave them the win. A two-run homer tied the game, and then Geneva put together the winning score on only two walks, one hit and a game-winning sacrifice fly.
UC looked to rebound in the second game and pushed the game into extra innings tied at 3-3. However, in the bottom of the eighth inning a two-run home run once again proved to be the difference in the loss for the Arrows.
Over the two games, the Arrows scored 10 runs on 13 hits. Miranda Boggs (Madison, Ohio/Madison) was the only player to record more than one hit in a single game, she totaled three hits over both the games.
Kristen Roznoski (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch) scored three more runs and stole two more bases to raise her team-high totals in each category.
