In game one, Ursuline finally was able to break a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the 12th inning as Hillary Beachy (Warren, Ohio/Champion HS) led off the inning with a triple. Later in the inning after two walks, the Arrows plated the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Melissa Ruminski (Columbia Station/Columbia HS).
The Arrows recorded 15 hits, including three by Britney Mascia (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush) and Miranda Boggs (Madison, Ohio/Madison). Kristen Roznoski (Toledo, Ohio/Cardinal Stritch), Lauren Grana (Holland, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy), Ciara Seymour (New Port Richey, Fla./JW Mitchell HS) and Ruminski each had a pair of hits.
On the mound, Seymour earned her fifth win, pitching all 12 innings. She allowed just one earned run, struck out 10 batters and walked only one.
In game two, the Arrows bats cooled, as they managed just three total hits, two of which came from lead-off hitter Roznoski, and no walks.
Ursuline will continue its home stand against Point Park on Tuesday, April 6 at 4:00 p.m. with a Conference doubleheader.
