The UC tennis team competed against Hiram to open the 2006-2007 season

Tennis got off to a great start on Sunday beating Hiram 7-2. The team went 1-2 in the doubles matches with partners Megan McCartney and Jenn Kessler winning their eight game pro set with a final score of 8 games to 1.

The UC singles players did a phenomenal job winning all 6 matches in straight sets. The number one singles player and senior Bridget McNamara won 7-5, 6-1.

Ashley Messner finished with a score of 6-3, 6-0. Juniors Danielle Robinson and Jenn Kessler won 6-4, 6-4 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively. Steph Datko beat her opponent 6-0, 6-2 while fellow freshman Megan McCartney won 6-1, 6-0.
