May 28, 2010
MARION, Ind. - The Ursuline College Track & Field Program is currently competing at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.
Jaimie Grindle set a new school ranked and finished 13th in the nation in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.14 seconds. She surpassed the record she set just yesterday to advance to today's semi-finals. Her 13th place finish is the program's best finish in any event at a National Championship. Coming into the race, Grindle ranked 43rd out of 43 runners in the event.
Jessica Dingman finished 35th in the nation out of 44 runners in the 10K run last night. It was her second best time ever, just shy of setting a new school record.
The 4x100 relay team, made up of Jaimie Grindle,
Annie Grindle,
Tanisha Williams, and
Alena Brown, qualified with a time of 49.26 seconds. They topped that mark this afternoon with a time of 48.41 seconds to finish in the top 25 nationally.
The Arrows still have the 4x400 relay team. Check back for updates and results.
