Our Library Staff is friendly and accessible. Please let us know how we can help you and your students.

How do I establish my library privileges?
Faculty may register with the library through the use of the online form, or by bringing a College ID to the Circulation Desk so that we can enter you into the Library database. You will then be able to check out books and access indexes and databases from off-campus.

What is OhioLINK?
OhioLINK is a consortium of academic and several public libraries in Ohio. As a faculty member, you have access to the collections of these libraries as well as to the jointly licensed databases.

Does the Library have Interlibrary Loan?
Yes. This is a free service to faculty for books not obtainable through OhioLINK and for periodical articles not in our collection. Forms and information are available online and in the Library.

How long can I keep materials and must I pay fines?
The loan period is one semester for most books from our library. There are no fines charged to faculty on materials that belong to the College. Material borrowed through OhioLINK and through Interlibrary Loan circulate for a shorter time and will accrue fines of 50 cents per day. OhioLINK material more than 30 days overdue incurs a $50 late fee.

What are the Library hours?
Bookmarks are available with the hours. They are also on the Library Website.

Can I put material on Reserve?
Of "course." Forms are available online or in the Library or Media Center for both print and media reserve.

Can someone help me locate materials?
Yes, our Reference Librarians are always available to assist you in finding materials for your courses or research. They can also assist you in linking online materials.

Do you offer any courses?
We welcome the opportunity to tailor special classes and resource lists to your classes' assignments. Workshops for faculty are offered as requested. Contact Polly Wilkenfeld (x4080) for more information.

Can I send students to the Library for research?
Always. A reference librarian is available to assist them most hours that the library is open. Librarians are also available to help you design an effective library assignment.

What about plagiarism?
Librarians can show you methods of detecting plagiarism. Many resources are also available online.
