combines Interlibrary Loan article requests and Document Delivery article requests in one easy to find location.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
is a service to request articles not available through the Ursuline College Library for all students, faculty, and staff of Ursuline College and Sisters of the Ursuline Community.
It provides these patrons access to matierals NOT available at the Ursuline College Library. Ursuline College Library will request these items from other libraries on the behalf of its patrons. The conditions of ILL service are established by the National Interlibrary Loan Code, 1980 (adopted by the American Library Association).
is a service to request electronic copies of journal articles that the Ursuline College Library holds in print format only. This service is available to Ursuline College graduate students and faculty.
Some restrictions apply. Some materials are not available through Interlibrary Loan because the lending library may restrict the lending of certain items. Materials borrowed from other libraries may not be placed on reserve. The lending library may specify that its materials only be used in the library or that no photocopies of the material be made. All materials are subject to recall at any time by the lending library.
Through Article Express, undergraduate students my request up to 2 articles per week and graduate students may request up to 5 articles per week.
Using Article Express
Before requesting an item, check the Journal Finder
to see if the item is available. The Reference Librarian can help you with the search.
To make a request, Article Express forms are available online
. A separate form is needed for each item requested. Complete, accurate and legible information is essential for us to request the material for you.
It may take anywhere from two to seven days for an article to arrive. The lending library is responsible for filling the request and there may be circumstances in the lending library that may delay filling the request. We will notify you by telephone or e-mail when the materials arrive, but you can always call the Circulation Desk at 440-449-4202 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
to check on any request.
