Inclusion and Equity Committee
The Inclusion and Equity Committee was launched in January 2011 and reports to the President of Ursuline College, Sr. Diana Stano. The committee is chaired by the Assistant Dean of Inclusion, Equity and Multicultural Affairs and includes: Faculty, Staff, Administrators, Students and Alumna.
The Inclusion and Equity Committee’s primary function is to develop a shared understanding of diversity and equity by measuring and creating a Welcoming Campus Climate for all. We support the College’s core values of having Respect for the Individual, being Student Focused and Collaborative while promoting a sense of Spirituality.
We understand that one of the greatest challenges facing colleges and universities involves creating and sustaining a campus community that reflects the rich diversity of our country. Therefore our mission and purpose is to encourage all stakeholders within our environment to build inclusion and equity excellence within all areas of the college without regard to race, gender, age, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, creed, religion, culture, or physical and mental abilities among college staff, faculty, students and administrators.
