Room Lottery Information (selecting a new room):
- You must bring a $25 deposit (cash or check only) and the name of your roommate, if applicable.
- If you select a room and do not have a roommate you will be assigned a new student and will complete a Room Placement Survey.
- You are required to sign a Housing Contract (The contract is for the entire academic year: fall semester 2012 AND spring semester 2013).
- You will be asked to complete a Residence Life Survey.
- When you arrive at the appropriate time you will be given a raffle ticket and that will determine the order of selection for those who share the same amount of semester seniority.
- For suites in Smith Hall, we will add up the semester seniority of each resident requesting a specific suite to determine priority.
Room lottery order for selection:
- Residents who are squatting their room in Murphy or Smith (Time: tba)
- Residents who are squatting their room in Grace (Time: tba)
- Residents choosing suites in Smith (Time: tba)
- Residents choosing singles in Murphy (Time: tba)
- Residents who are selecting a room (Time: tba)
(different from your current Murphy or Grace room)
Singles on the first floor of Murphy Hall:
- Students currently living in singles can squat their single
- Open singles are assigned by semester seniority
- If we experience a need for additional housing due to a large incoming freshmen class, these singles could be converted to double rooms. This should be determined by the end of July and you will be notified at home.
Choosing a new room in Grace and Murphy:
- Rooms will be selected based on semester seniority. You will be given a raffle ticket when you arrive and that will determine order of selection.
- The only single rooms available are on the first floor of Murphy Hall.
- Please come to lottery with a list of rooms that interest you. Rooms 241, 245 and 247 are off-line because they are reserved for students who require special accommodations.
- Rooms 208, 227, 308 and 327 are mandatory double occupancy.
Choosing a Suite in Smith Hall Eligibility Requirements:
- You must have junior or senior academic status.
- A minimum of three students are required to reserve a suite.
- First priority is given to students who have "residence hall seniority status" which is determined by the number of semesters a student has lived in the residence halls. (We will add up the semester seniority of each resident requesting a specific suite to determine priority).
- Second priority is given to students who have junior or senior academic status, but have not lived in the residence halls, or lived in the residence halls for a brief period of time. (For example, a student with junior academic status who lived in the halls 2 semesters will have priority over a senior who has never lived in the halls).

- Suites 120 and 130 are Nursing Offices. Suite 110 is off-line because it is reserved for students who require special accommodations.
