Your next step towards becoming an Ursuline student is to attend our Spring Academic Orientation program for students starting in January.

This program will serve as your overview of academics at Ursuline College. On this day you will learn about our core curriculum, called the Ursuline Studies Program, as well as specific requirements about your major. You will meet with an academic advisor/faculty member to select and then register for your classes for the Spring Semester. This orientation is designed to facilitate your smooth transfer and promote your academic success at Ursuline.

Please note:

  • If you were informed in your admission letter that you need to take placement testing, please contact Jill Carroll at 440-449-2049 to make an appointment. This needs to be done before you can attend orientation.
  • Students who have not deposited before their Academic Orientation date will not be registered for classes until their deposit has been received. Deposits should be mailed to Robin Smith in the Admission office. Please call her at 440-646-8365 if you have questions.
  • If you live out-of-state and it's too far to drive to the college, you will be contacted by phone and/or email by URSA, the office that coordinates Academic Orientation to make alternate arrangements.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call Jill at 440-449-2049 or Sr. Virginia DeVinne at 440-684-6018.

Fall Orientation: Adult Session

The program is designed with the adult student in mind, including the essentials to help prepare you for academic success. Other students will be on hand to share insight and advice. You will learn more about campus resources, network with administrators, participate in a Welcome Ceremony and have the opportunity to find classrooms.

Free child care is provided if needed.

Fall Orientation: Traditional Students

This session is mandatory for all traditional-aged new students and transfer students who are both under 21 and transferring 38 credits or less.

A team of upperclass Orientation Arrows will lead you through activities, social events and sessions to begin your immersion into college life. Most importantly you will begin making friends and gain important knowledge to start classes at Ursuline as a successful student.
