Nicole is majoring in Business with Sports Management. She is from Darlington, United Kingdom. Nicole is on the cross country and track team and just beginning her sophomore year at Ursuline. Her favorite campus activities are sleepovers in the lounge and if you can't find her, she's most likely to be in the gym! And of course Nicole loves tea and crumpets like a typical Brit!
Khala is from Cincinnati, Ohio. She enjoys shopping and learning new things. She loves helping people and talking to students about college, life, and pretty much anything else! Khala also loves Betty Boop and when she graduates she hopes to receive her Master’s in Public Health.
Jordan will be a sophomore in the fall. She swims for the school and lives on campus. Jordan is majoring in Nursing and hopes to become a pediatric nurse at Rainbow Babies and Children hospital. Jordan is from Painesville in Lake County, Ohio. At home she is actively involved in the YMCA where she lifeguards, teaches lessons, and coaches beginning synchronized swimming!
Darnice was born July 30th, 1992. She is a mentor in the Academic Inspiration for Multicultural Success Program (A.I.M.S). Darnice enjoys shopping and babysitting. She would like to pursue her dream of becoming a social worker.
Erica is a junior, Education major and also a Math and Science minor. She runs Cross Country and Track for Ursuline. She enjoys crocheting and hanging out with friends. Erica lives in Chardon, Ohio. She joined the Orientation Team to help new students feel comfortable and to make new friends.
Madgie is from Mansfield, Ohio. She came to Ursuline to be a double major in Math and AYA Education where she is currently a junior in the Program. Madgie also runs Cross Country and Track & Field for Ursuline. She is the Vice President for The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Madgie enjoys hanging out with hall mates in the lounge and hanging out in the gym. She is excited to be a member of the OA Team this year and meeting future students!
Sam is going to be a junior this fall; she will graduate with a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising. She was a transfer student from a small private school in southeastern Michigan. Sam was born and raised in Adrian, Michigan where she graduated from Madison High School and the LISD TECH Center (Graphic Imaging and Technology program). When at home she works for the City of Adrian in the Parks and Recreation Center, she also volunteers as a youth leader at her local church. When at school Sam is a UC Ambassador, Fashion Focus Vice President, a costume designer for the Ursuline plays, and is now a UC Orientation Arrow! She plans on completing the bridge program with The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City in the fall of 2014. She also plans on gradating in the spring of 2016!
Amanda Ponchak (Ponch) is a junior this fall. She plans on studying biology at Ursuline and using that to become a physical therapist. Ponch has a brother and a sister both older than herself. Her sister has two daughters that mean the world to Ponch. She has always been an athlete, and is currently on the Soccer team for Ursuline! She also takes part in the Up Til’ Dawn Program for St. Judes’ Children’s Hospital.
Autumn is an Art Therapy major at Ursuline. She is a resident on campus during the school year. Autumn worked in the R.I.N.G.E.R. Program for Undergraduate Admissions. This is Autumn’s first year as an OA and is SUPER excited about it!
Mackenzie is a 20 year old junior from Wisconsin. She lives on campus and is dual majoring in Fashion Design and Merchandising with a minor in PR and Business Communications. Mackenzie is also on the Bowling team for Ursuline College! Mackenzie lives in Ohio pretty much all year around and has a job in Aurora at Dick’s Sporting Goods. This is her first year in Orientation and she is really excited about it! She really likes having a good time and talking about cats.
Caitlin is on the Tennis team at Ursuline. She is a sophomore and majoring in Visual Communication Design. With her major, she would like to create the billboards, brochures, and any type of display. Caitlin is a part of the Dancing Arrows. She loves to dance and play tennis. Caitlin is from Painesville, Ohio and gradguated from Riverside High School. This is her first year being an OA. Caitlin has on dog, a Maltese named Molly. In the past, she would show Molly in competitions. Now, Caitlin takes Molly to nursing homes to visit with the elderly.
Tongyao is our only Chinese student on campus. She really loves and enjoys studying at Ursuline. Tongyao is a very easygoing person, with a habit of smiling. She is a nursing student and is also on the Dancing Arrows Team. Tongyao likes to watch movies and enjoys listening to music. She is glad she can be on the Orientation Team, it is a challenge but she is definitely looking forward to it!

Shy Anne Atkins
Shy Anne is a junior Nursing student. She participates in multiple clubs and jobs on campus. Shy Anne works in Student Activities. She is a third year microbiology tutor and a second year mentor for Academic Inspiration for Multicultural Success (AIMS). Shy Anne participated as Vice President of Student Government Association (SGA) and Programming Board. Last Year, Shy Anne was an Orientation Arrow and has advanced to an Orientation Team Advisor this year. Her mission is to inspire new upcoming students to become leaders! Team - Team!
Kristina is a transfer student to Ursuline College- this is her second year here! She is a junior, Early Education major with the intent of teaching for the Department of Defense after graduation. Kristina is a local commuter student, living in Cleveland, Ohio. She enjoys cooking and ceramics. Kristina is also the VP of Programming Board.
Brittany is a senior, nursing student at Ursuline. She transferred to UC after two years at Lorain Community College in her how town, Elyria. This is her second year as an Orientation Team Advisor. After Graduation, Brittany intends to become a Hospice nurse. She wants new students to know that the Ursuline Community is truly a family and welcomes everyone with open arms!
Maggie is a senior, Studio Art major and minoring in PR and Marketing. She is the founder and President of the Sr. Dorothy Kazel Club for Systemic Change. She is also involved with the Student Art Organization, Social Media Advisory Committee, Founders Week, Programming Board, AIMS, and Color Your Corner. Maggie has been involved in Orientation for 3 years now. Maggie won the Sr. Dorothy Kazel Award and is a member of the Fleur de Lis Honorary. She enjoys traveling, dancing, and spending time with her little siblings. After graduation, Maggie plans to volunteer with H.E.L.P. Malawi for 6 months in Africa.
Colette graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2013 from Ursuline with Bachelor of Arts concentrating in Psychology. While at Ursuline, she was involved in Founders Week, Psi Chi and Orientation. She is the Graduate Assistant for Orientation this year. Outside of Orientation, she is involved with the Lerner School at the Cleveland Clinic. Her dream is to further her education by working toward getting a Doctorate degree. Outside of work, she enjoys concerts, making art, and running.
