From first contact with us through graduation day, you will receive personalized attention from our staff. Our staff provides the following services:
  • An admissions specialist will personally review your transfer credits
  • An academic advisor will assist you with your course planning and help you meet your graduation requirements
  • An advisor will work with you to evaluate your life experience for potential credit
  • Apply in person or online
  • Register for classes by phone, fax, email or online

Get to know our staff:
Anne Lukas, Executive Director earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio University in Theater and English and her Juris Doctorate degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Anne started her career in performance and education, developing and teaching communications workshops and was a member of American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, acting in commercials/print media. She worked in marketing and sales in publishing and advertising for five years. After completing law school, she worked in litigation for several years. Later, she developed the paralegal studies program at Notre Dame College, where she directed it for eleven years. She was the recipient of the "Facilitator of the Year" award at Ursuline in 2008 for her course on the Holocaust and the Jewish-Christian Journeys to Europe. Anne was the Director of Legal Studies at Ursuline from 2002-2005, moving into the position of Executive Director for Ursuline College Accelerated Program in 2005. Fun Facts

JoAnne Mazur, Assistant Director of Operation, UCAP, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. She went on to earn her Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration also from the University of Arkansas, specializing in Student Services and Adult Learning. JoAnne began her higher education administration career as a Director of Student Development and later served as an Admissions Director for four years. She has taught college-level human development and first year experience courses. JoAnne has also been a corporate sales trainer and coach. She joined Ursuline College as UCAP’s Assistant Director of Operations in April 2011.

Anne Murphy Brown, Director of Legal Studies graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History. She earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois. Anne began her legal career in litigation, and eventually practiced business and corporate law. She also teaches in the program with her primary focus on classes related to business and corporate law. Anne's academic experience includes teaching at Lakeland Community College and the University of Illinois. Her contribution to Ursuline was invaluable when earning American Bar Association approval for the program. She was the "Cengage Grand Award Winner for Excellence in Teaching" at the American Association for Paralegal Education National Conference in 2007. Jane R. Chabrand-Lowe, Administrative Assistant earned her Associate of Applied Sciences in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College. Jane has a variety of work experiences from the corporate, non-profit and academic environments. She spent 10+ years working with The National Conference for Community & Justice, Inc. (NCCJ) and 3 years in the Community Relations Division of Lakeland Community College. She has been an Administrative Assistant for the Ursuline College Accelerated Program since December 2010.

Katie Cirincione, Program Assistant, Legal Studies Program, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College in 2008 and is completing a Master of Arts in the field. She has worked for the Legal Studies Program since 2007 assisting Anne Murphy Brown.

Karen Gajewski, Admissions Specialist, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Kent State University in 2006 as a non-traditional student. She has worked previously as a director for a special needs camp, a family advocate for nonprofit agencies and was the coordinator for community learning classes at a local college.
She has been an Admissions Specialist with Ursuline College Accelerated Program since July 2008.

Carol Grabner, Administrative Assistant, is currently a student with the Ursuline College Accelerated Program majoring in psychology with a minor in public relations and marketing communications. In her administrative role, Carol assists students with registration and payment, as well as performing departmental administrative duties. Carol comes to Ursuline College with a corporate customer-focused administrative background. She has been the Administrative Assistant for the Ursuline College Accelerated Program since February 2005.

Dorothy McCombs, Academic Advisor, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Notre Dame College, after having earned an Associate in Arts degree from Cuyahoga Community College. She was previously employed in the banking industry and has experience in project management, product development, operations, training and customer service. She has been an Academic Advisor in the Ursuline College Accelerated Program office since September 2005.

Denise McKenna, Admissions Specialist, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin-Wallace College with a major in Education. Her previous recruitment experience was in advertising and education as well as several years as a business owner of Ohio City Muffins.

Blair A. Suttles, Admissions/Advising Assistant, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, with a minor in Gender and Diversity Studies at Xavier University. She previously worked in higher education recruitment and new student orientation. She has been with Ursuline College since May 2010.

Laurel Yuratovac, Academic Advising Coordinator has held a number of positions in UCAP including Program Secretary, Customer Service Representative, Advising and Logistics Coordinator. Since 2005, she has been an academic advisor. Laurel is proud to be a UCAP student pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree. She has been at Ursuline since the start of the Ursuline College Accelerated Program back in 1998.
