- Becky Bofinger and Karen Rizk for their two excellent publications describing a
well-researched, objective mechanism for promoting the professional appearance and
behaviors of nursing students and preparing them for the "real" world of employment:

- Patricia Sharpnack, awarded $5,000 from the Breen School of Nursing Strawbridge Fund to pursue her doctor of nursing practice at Case Western Reserve University.
- Christine Wynd for two international presentations and one local presentation this
summer 2007:
- The Banning of Tobacco Use on Inpatient Psychiatric Units: Patient and Staff Outcomes, refereed paper presentation, 18th International Nursing Research Congress Focusing on Evidence-Based Practice, July 14, 2007, Vienna, Austria.

- A team of advanced practice nurses at Akron General Medical Center conducted employee health fairs for three years and collected related data.
