Diversity Course Students
I loved the importance and practicality of this course. It immediately made me begin to think about and evaluate my own interactions with my students.

Class discussions were clearly thought-provoking and engaging…Reflection on ourselves/our classrooms was also a big part of the class.
I most enjoyed the professor’s insight on the topic and the way it opened up my eyes to new things.
The assignments were challenging, in that they required a great deal of analytical thought in diverse topics.
The course promoted critical thinking on an important subject. It certainly made me contemplate and reflect on the way I treat others.
PASE Reading Students
I had to think critically about students as a group as well as individually. I’ve made a commitment to master the content and reflect on my future as a teacher.
The thing I enjoyed most about this course was working with the students and seeing improvement/progress.
Everything about the class was well organized and I learned a lot.
We learned many new things and got a lot of support and guidance. I felt genuine care for my questions and education.
I enjoyed working with an instructor who exhibited unconditional love in teaching a class that was not originally assigned to her.
Due to the success realized by my students, I plan to utilize the WebQuest in the future in my classroom. Lessons using this format can easily be adapted and used in virtually every content area. Although the preparation of such lessons can be rather time consuming, the benefits for the students make the investment of time well worth it.
I have learned things I thought I could never learn. I have definitely learned that anything is possible if one puts his/her mind to it!
The Reading Methods course prompted me to think a lot about how the material related to my teaching so I could apply it to my students.
I am more focused on the realization and recognition of fluent and less fluent readers.
PASE Computer Technology Students
The Instructional Design course was very challenging and really made me use my critical thinking skills.
The critiques of others help us analyze, reflect, reevaluate and rephrase.
While developing a technology plan in the Management of Technology course, I did a lot of critical thinking. I consulted staff members and colleagues to make mature judgments and choices for our school. I consider myself more knowledgeable after this course even though there is much still to do and learn.
PASE Curriculum & Instruction Students
The integrated curriculum project allowed me to create a meaningful unit for future use.
As a classroom teacher, I understood the importance of action research. I learned how to write a proposal. It improved my scholarly and writing skills. It also helped me think more about my teaching style and do self-evaluation. I found this very critical for a teacher who wants to improve his/her teaching strategies.
Contemplation and reflection—the act of learning action research reinforced this quality.
In the Professional Learning Communities course, the autobiographical analysis of my personal profile allowed me to identify my personal strengths and weaknesses while the learning community analysis enabled me to evaluate my current situation as well as the role that I could play in improvement.
The course discussion was both insightful and engaging. Each week critical issues were raised and discussed.
PASE Special Education Students
The material in the Introduction to Special Education course was very interesting and beneficial to me. I am more aware and a little more prepared to teach my students with special needs.
The Lifespan Development course prompted me to apply what I learned in class to my students.
