- Earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of the Graduate Studies application form, including a brief essay on reasons for applying to the MALS program, and the $25.00 non-refundable application fee
- Official transcript(s) from the institution(s) which awarded the applicant's baccalaureate degree, and from any institution(s) where undergraduate and/or graduate course work was taken
- Evidence of ability to do graduate work, as indicated by a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average, based on a 4.0 system, on all course work taken at the institution awarding the degree. A 3.0 grade point average on any previous graduate work. The Miller's Analogy Test or the Graduate Record Examination may be required of students whose undergraduate G.P.A. is less than 3.0.
- Three recommendations written by appropriate professionals (Required recommendation form)
- Completion of an interview with the MALS Program Director and/or MALS Committee
