Health services organizations are reorganizing their structures to reflect constantly changing health care delivery systems in America. A baccalaureate degree in Health Care Administration prepares students for an entry-level management position in this field. The curriculum provides students with the core of knowledge and technical management skills necessary to assume leadership roles in analyzing and solving an array of complex management problems. In addition, the manager must be able to plan strategic initiatives for delivering health care in the twenty-first century. The program builds on the liberal arts core curriculum, which combines professional knowledge and technical skills with effective verbal and written communication skills, the business application of microcomputers, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
