Partnerships
Thanks to partnerships between UCAP and regional community colleges, you can now complete courses toward your bachelor’s degree closer to home and work. Lakeland Community College (LCC) and Cuyahoga Community College (CCC), Western campus have partnered with Ursuline College to bring the Ursuline College Accelerated Program (UCAP) Business Management or Health Care Administration degree option to the Lakeland and CCC West campuses.

UCAP is an innovative accelerated degree program, designed especially for professional men and women. Increasing numbers of working adults are taking advantage of the opportunity UCAP offers: the ability to earn their degree in Business Management or Health Care Administration in half the time of traditional semester-based programs. Working adults know finishing a bachelor’s degree can jump start their career, yet realize it’s a balancing act to manage their many family, work and academic responsibilities. UCAP’s accelerated classes allow them to do just that. Each class meets only one night per week for five weeks. With flexible step-in, step-out pacing, continuing your education does not mean putting the rest of your life on hold.

New Partnership

The Ursuline College Accelerated Program (UCAP) has entered into an agreement with the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking (LPSC) that will allow LPSC graduates to earn 20 hours of academic credit toward a UCAP bachelor of arts degree in either business management or healthcare administration. Students transferring from LPSC into UCAP must have completed professional chef training or baking and pastry arts programs to qualify for the academic award. Additionally, they must meet UCAP enrollment criteria which includes a minimum of 3 years full-time work experience and 30 semester hours of acceptable college credit.

Loretta Paganini, CCP, founded the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking (LPSC) in 1981. Located in Chesterland, Ohio, LPSC is an affiliate of the Educational Institute of the American Culinary Federation. The school offers training and professional chef certification programs for both the culinary and pastry arts. Individual enrichment classes are also offered for both the professional students and the general public. Hands-on food preparation techniques and formal instruction by reputable chefs provide students with a solid understanding of the culinary or pastry arts, allowing for many employment opportunities within the food, restaurant, hotel and catering industries.

Those interested in this program can find out more about UCAP at an upcoming UCAP Information Session.
