What is the add/drop policy for UCAP classes?
UCAP offers a very flexible ADD/DROP policy to accommodate
the working adult student. Students needing to adjust
their schedules after registering for classes incur a
$15.00 change fee. Due to the rapid nature of our curriculum,
students should make all schedule changes at least 1 week

How can I get credit for work/life experience?
Students may pursue alternative credit options such as
Test-Outs, CLEP exams, Prior Learning and Work-Related
Portfolios as appropriate. Students are encouraged to
meet with a UCAP advisor to discuss these options. Generally,
the following procedures apply:
- Students interested in Test-Out and/or CLEP
exams must verify their options with their advisor.
The test-outs are coordinated by the Academic
Support and Disabilities Office (440-449-2049)
while CLEP exams are coordinated by the Office
of Alternative Credit Options (440-684-6080).
Students should register for them during open
registration periods one semester in advance.
- Prior-Learning and Work-Related Portfolios
are best approached by meeting first with Dyann
Whaley, Coordinator of Alternative Credit Options.
Her number is (440) 684-6080. She has materials
and guidelines that will help students with
this process.
