UCAP is committed to providing currently enrolled students with the services and support needed to assist them with improving learning and achieving their educational goal.  Tutoring is a free and can be signed up weekly or for an entire session.  Tutoring varies from session to session based on the courses offered.


Ursuline College provides a special voluntary, comprehensive, fee-paid program for students with learning disabilities and ADHD, who have current assessment documentation.  FOCUS helps students adjust to college life, applying appropriate learning strategies to college courses and teaching students self-advocacy skills.  The program includes:

  • Orientation
  • Weekly sessions with a learning disabilities specialist
  • Weekly sessions with math, science, and writing tutors
  • Support gatherings


Auxilary Career Exploration Services (ACES) is offered through the Office of Counseling and Career Services in conjunction with Academic Support Services.  It is an extended and specialized form of career counseling designed to start early in the college experience and continue until graduation, or as long as necessary.  The goal is to help students to develop career awareness and to learn the skills necessary for a job search.  The program includes:

  • One-on-one sessions with the career development coordinator
  • Meetings tailored and structured to reflect individual student needs
  • In-depth discussions of topics related to career planning and hands-on help
