Ursuline has a dominant defensive first half in route to a 73-63 victory.
The Arrows put on a defensive show in the first half, while limiting Lake Erie to 17% shooting and only 17 points total. It was the best first half showing all year long on the defensive end and with the halftime lead of 40-17, the game was in control. Lake Erie made it an interesting game with various presses in the second half and at one time cut the lead to 6, but Whitney Blackburn and Jessica Wood wouldn't allow the team to lose. Blackburn scored 31 points including a 9 of 15 performance from the behind the three point line and Jessica Wood scored 11 points, dished out a season high 9 assists to go along with 3 blocks and 3 steals. The Arrows have now won 3 in a row and stand at 13-10.

Another back to back, same old story.
The Arrows must like to make things interesting for the coaching staff and the fans. Ursuline once again struggled in the first half before putting a strong second half together to gain the 71-63. After a lackluster first half, the team switched gears and put on a full court press for the second half, which saw many strong performances, led by Whitney Blackburn's 17 points, including 3 key three point shots. Kayla Krzynowek added 11 points and 9 rebounds. Jessica Wood scored 10 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, dished out 5 assist and had 4 steals. Kierra Turner added 10 points as well. Ursuline is now 12-10.

Ursuline earns first ever win against Daemen.
The Arrows had been 0-17 against conference powerhouse Daemen, but a total team effort on the defensive end of things helped in the 83-66 victory. Things looked good early on with the Arrows holding a small lead in the first half, until a couple of breakdowns on the defensive caused a 36-31 halftime deficit. The team and coaches sorted out the details and came out strong in the second half, outscoring Daemen 52-30. It was the inspired defense that really clamped down on the top scorer in the conference, Sarah Bogardus and forced other Wildcats into roles they weren't familiar with. Whitney Blackburn led five players in double figures with 18 points and 4 three pointers. Jessica Wood added 18 points and 6 assists. Kierra Turner and Kayla Krzynowek each scored 12 points and Angie Ciarrochi chipped in with 11. The Arrows are now 11-10.

The second half saw multiple defensive breakdowns which allowed the post players on Notre Dame to get easy baskets. Jessica Wood turned in another outstanding performance with 24 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assist and 5 steals. Whitney Blackburn knocked down 4 threes that helped her score 14 points in the loss. Ursuline is now 10-10.

Ursuline makes it 3 in a row.
Some teams struggle with back to back games and the Arrows are no different. The team was lethargic and uninspired for most of the game at Carlow, but found enough energy and determination to get their third win in a row. The game was a defensive battle with each team's offense struggling to find the basket. Ursuline's defense held Carlow to 21% shooting and didn't allow any opponent in double figures. Ursuline was led by Whitney Blackburn's 14 points, with 7 of them coming from the foul line. Jessica Wood added 10 points and a team high 14 rebounds, while Jenna Tomaro chipped in with an additional 10 points. The Arrows are back above .500 with a 10-9 record.

The Arrows switched up defenses in the second half and Ashlie Hargrove locked down Malone's best shooter after the break. Ursuline's poor shooting and poor board work dooms them against Ohio Dominican.
The Arrows suffered a tough 57-53 defeat to Ohio Dominican at home. Neither team shot the ball very well with Ursuline shooting just 27% and ODU hitting on 29% or their shots. The key factor in the game was ODU's 28 offensive rebounds that netted them 20 more shots than Ursuline. That was the story in the game and a key reason for the defeat. Ursuline was led by Jessica Wood's double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Angie Ciarrochi scored 11 points in the loss.

Ursuline suffers worst loss of the season against Rio Grande.
The Arrows came out against one of the best teams in the conference and played a very good first half, but once halftime was over, the team didn't have anything left in the tank. Ursuline played them close for 20 minutes and had a team effort in the first half, which was not enough and ended up with a 94-56 loss at home. The Arrows couldn't muster much of anything in the second half as Rio pulled away and outscored Ursuline 57-27 in the second half. The Arrows were led by Whitney Blackburn's 13 points with three 3-point shots and Jessica Wood added 10 points to go along with 3 assists and 3 steals. Ashlay Lewis had a team high 6 rebounds.

Ursuline Loses to UNOH.
The Arrows didn't get off to a good start against the Racers from Northwest Ohio and as a result they came up short in a key conference match up. Ursuline shot the ball well at 48%, but couldn't get the job done on the defensive glass, giving up 24 offensive rebounds. For the game, the Arrows took only 47 shots, compared to UNOH's 72 and that pretty much sealed the loss. Jessica Wood led Ursuline with 13 points, and also grabbed a team high 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists. Whitney Blackburn scored 11 points and hit all three of her shots from behind the arc. Kierra Turner came off the bench to score 9 points.
