The Ursuline College Arrows Cross Country team moved forward another three places at the American Mid-East Conference / Region IX meet this year. Finishing 9th place at the AMC meet marks the first time the Arrows have finished in the top 10 in the conference. Led by four freshmen, the UCXC team was the youngest team out on the course.
Amber Chase set pace for the Arrows with a school record and life time personal best of 20:04.20. She was followed by freshman teammates Jessica Dingman 20:32.15, Erica Casto 21:06.65, and Erin Childers 21:18.60. The young team improved an average of 59 seconds per lady from the first time running this same course on September 28th.
After the meet Coach Badway commented, "This was a very impressive outing for our team. We kept showing constant improvement throughout the season, and our hard work paid off in the end. All of our top eight runners are returning for next year and being that seven of them are freshmen, we will definitely be focusing on moving up in the conference standings."
