Ursuline takes third in AMC Championships

AMC Golf Tournament changed to a one day outing; Berkshire Hills on Tuesday, April 12
Ursuline College will be hosting Malone, Point Park, and Walsh in the American Mideast Conference Tounament. The outing, which was schedule for two days of 18 holes (April 11-12), has been changed to one day of 18 holes (Tuesday, April 12). Due to class schedules and expected thunderstorms on Monday, the AMC has approved the one-day championship, which will be played at Berkshire Hills in Chesterland, Ohio. Ursuline Golf cuts 59 strokes to take down Point Park and rival Notre Dame
Ursuline College, which finished sixth at the Westminster Tournament on a rainy Monday afternoon, cut its team score by 59 strokes on Thursday afternoon to take home two wins at a tri-match against Point Park and Notre Dame. The Arrows were led by Katie Giannaris and Nicole Lee, who took home second and third place overall at Little Mountain Golf Club. Ursuline Golf signs Kodi Hall and Mikayla Young
The Ursuline College Golf program would like to announce that Kodi Hall (Grant County High School/Williamstown, Kentucky) and Mikayla Young (Eastwood High School/Pemberville, Ohio) have signed to play golf for the Arrows starting in the fall of 2011. Ursuline College took home its first win in three events with a victory over rival Notre Dame College on Saturday at Berkshire Hills Country Club. This year's golf season is filled with expectations. Last year's team was 7-2 and finished higher in the conference championship than ever before. The team opens up this year with Pitt-Bradford on September 12th at Berkshire Golf Club to begin their Fall season. They will also compete against JCU and NDC this year all in preparation for the championship in the Spring.
The team consists of two seniors, three juniors, and two sophomores all of which made major contributions to the success of the program last year.
The team is coached by Mike McCon who has been the main reason for our continuous improvement and competitiveness.
The team has set the goal of being Conference Champions and is willing to work to make that happen.
