Point Park
Ursuline picks up game one at Point Park winning 2-1 behind pitcher Ashley Hykes. Meredith
Croce led the game off with a single to right field, moving to second on a passed ball and then to third on Sara Ilko’s fly ball to right field. Hillary Beachy’s sacrifice fly to centerfield
scored Croce for the first run. Ursuline scored again in the fifth when Ilko got on and was hit in by Beachy’s RBI double. The two runs were enough for the win as Point Park scored one in the bottom of the seventh when Cain walked and Meighan hit an RBI double. Hykes took the win, Tripp got the loss.
Point Park
Point Park got to work in the bottom of the sixth inning to upend Ursuline 3-2 in game two.
Kelly Gilreath got on the board first with a double to right center, followed by Liz Shoda’s
double scoring Gilreath. The Arrows scored again in the top of the sixth inning with Hykes
getting on and being doubled in by Amy Difiore. Braeudigam hit a homerun in the fourth inning
to put Point Park on the board and then scored two in the sixth off of a single, a double and
an error to put Point Park up 3-2. Stumme got the win, Gilreath took the loss.
