The Ursuline College Arrows opened up their inaugural Track & Field season at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State. Many of the bright spots from the meet included personal-best times by Jessica Dingman (5k - 19:38.69 3rd place) and Amber Chase (3k - 11:45.45 6th Place). Annie Grindle (Wasdworth, OH) missed qualifying for Nationals by 2 tenths of a second running 9.72 for the 60 Meter Hurdles and taking 7th place. Tanisha Williams placed 4th in the 400 Meters running 61.81. Kaelyn Hrabak led the sprinters placing 8th in the 60 Meter Dash while also placing 5th in the Long Jump.
Other People who scored for the Arrows include: Jessica Dingman 7th in the 3k; Amber Chase 4th in the 5k; Melissa Watson 7th in the Long Jump, Karen Wagonseller 8th in the Long Jump, and the 4x400 Relay (Kelsey Kimmel, Annie Grindle, Erin Childers, and Jennette Goans) 6th Place.
Coach Badway had the following to say after the meet, "It was so great to see these young ladies bring my vision forward. We have a bunch of great young talent on the team, and to see them run so competitively, so early is very exciting. The times and distances are only going to improve from here."
