Ursuline Track & Field opened their outdoor season down at The Muskingum Invitational. The Arrows were able to place 5th out of 10 teams who attended the cold and snowy meet. Tanisha Williams (400 Meters - 62.68) and Annie Grindle (100 Hurdles - 16.22) led the way for the Arrows with wins in their respective events. Another top performance for the Arrows was the 4x100 (51.48 - K. Hrabak, A. Grindle, M. Parham, and T. Williams) which placed 2nd.
The coaching staff decided to scratch out of a few events because of the inclement weather and not wanting to risk injury. Other top performances for the Track & Field team were:
- Jennette Goans - 400 Hurdles - 4th Place (74.15)
- Kaelyn Hrabak - 200 Meters - 5th (28.29)
- Mariea Parham - 100 Meters - 6th (14.52)
- Jamie Carter - Long Jump - 6th (14' 2.50")
- Jessica Dingman - 5000 Meters - 7th (19:44.94)
- Erica Casto - 800 Meters - 7th (2:52.38)
Coach Badway had the following to say after the meet. "As anyone can see from the results the weather just did not allow the team to go out and run their best times. It was nice to be able to go out and compete and have a starting point. The ladies competed hard and our coaching staff was more worried about how the team placed in their events, and not getting them injured instead of going after times and distances. I can't say enough about the heart and guts that this team has and how well they competed.”
The Arrows’ next meet will be on 3/29 at Wooster College.
