Ursuline College has announced the recent signing of Serena Caruso of Wickliffe, OH, to a
volleyball letter of intent for the 2008-2009 school year.
Caruso, a 5'8” setter, was a three year letter winner for the Lions of Notre Dame-Cathedral
Latin High School and head coach Dino Pietromica.
Serena was named Second Team All NCL as a senior and received District Honorable Mention
honors. During her junior and senior seasons, she was voted team captain and also named as
NDCL's most valuable player.
“We are very pleased to have Serena playing for us next year,” said Donna Day, Ursuline College volleyball coach. “Serena is a talented young setter and we anticipate that she will move right into the position vacated by our two senior setters.” “We have high expectations for Serena and we believe that, along with our other recruits, we have a great freshman class coming in.” Serena, the daughter of Mark and Christine Caruso of Wickliffe, OH, plans to major in Human Resources.
