Senior Jamie Fox named to All-AMC Second Team
Senior Jamie Fox was named to the American Mideast Conference Volleyball All-Second Team on Wednesday afternoon. Fox, who recorded her 2,000th career dig in her final contest at Ursuline, finishes her career with a program record 1,435 kills, 2,003 digs, and 269 service aces.

Volleyball closes season; Jamie Fox records 2,000th career dig
The Ursuline College Volleyball team (15-20) lost its final contest of 2010 to Daemen College on Friday night, 3-1. The Arrows fell 25-14, 25-20, 21-25, 26-24. However, the highlight of senior night came in game four, when Jamie Fox recorded her 2,000th career dig.

The Ursuline College Volleyball team (15-18) dropped two matches on Saturday at the Oberlin College tri-match. The Arrows fell 3-1 to Kenyon College (25-17, 25-19, 19-25, 25-18), and then 3-0 to host Oberlin (25-20, 25-21, 25-21).

Ursuline Volleyball takes down rival Notre Dame in three games
The Ursuline College Volleyball team improved to 15-13 and 3-5 in American Mideast Conference play with a three-game victory over rival Notre Dame College on Thursday night. The Arrows, who ended a brief two-match losing streak, jumped out to a 10-3 lead in game one, but needed to pull out five-straight points at the end of game one to win 25-23. The Arrows took game two 25-18, and then closed out the match, 25-21 in game three.

Ursuline Volleyball falls to Walsh at home, 3-1
The Ursuline College Volleyball team (14-13, 2-5) dropped an American Mideast Conference match to Walsh University on Tuesday night, 3-1. The Arrows struggled in the first two games, falling 25-13 and 25-19. However, the rebounded to play one of the most entertaining games of the year, winning the third game 25-21. The Cavaliers responded and closed out the match in the fourth game, 25-15.

Ursuline Volleyball drops road match to Roberts Wesleyan
The Ursuline College Volleyball team (14-12, 2-4) fell to Roberts Wesleyan on Thursday night on the road. The match, which was played at Spencerport High School due to a renovation going on at Roberts Wesleyan, finshed in three games with RWU winning 25-21, 25-23, and 25-20.

The Ursuline College Volleyball team (11-10, 0-2) dropped a road American Mideast Conference match to Cedarville University (8-7, 1-0) on Friday night, 3-1. The two teams battled all the way through, but the Yellow Jackets pulled out the win 23-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-22.

In front of an enthusiastic crowd, the Ursuline Volleyball team improved to 9-9 on the season with a five-game win over Marygrove College, Thursday evening at the O'Brien Athletic Center. The Arrows won the first two games of the match before the Mustangs rallied to force a fifth game, which UC won 15-11.

Ursuline wins two on day two of Kenyon Tournament
The Ursuline College Volleyball team (6-7) won both games on day two of the Kenyon Tournament, defeating OSU-Marion and Denison on Saturday afternoon.
The Arrows won 3-1 in both matches, topping OSU-Marion 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, and 25-10 and then beating Denison 23-25, 25-22, 27-25 and 28-26.

Volleyball drops first two matches of Kenyon Tournament
The Ursuline College Volleyball team (4-7) dropped its first two games of the Kenyon Tournament on Friday. The Arrows lost 3-0 to Bluffton and then fell to Denison, 3-0. The Arrows will continue with two more games on Saturday afternoon. I full recap will come after the tournament is completed.

The Ursuline College Volleyball team (4-5) split its first two games of the St. Vincent Tournament on Friday, before falling twice on Saturday to conclude the tournament. The Arrows won 3-1 over Waynesburg, but fell to Pitt-Bradford, 3-2 on Friday. Ursuline then dropped a match to host St. Vincent, 3-0, before falling to Roberts Wesleyan, 3-1 on Saturday.

The Ursuline College Volleyball team (3-2) fell behind two games to zero on the road against Oberlin College, but rebounded to win the final three games and take the road contest on Wednesday afternoon. The Arrows won 21-25, 19-25, 27-25, 25-12, 15-3.

Ursuline signs Smithville Senior Alex Leister
The Ursuline College Basketball and Volleyball programs have announced the signing of Smithville High School senior, Alex Leister, who will join the Arrows in the fall of 2010. Leister will be a member of both the Basketball team and the Volleyball squad as well.

Volleyball: Season Review
The Ursuline College volleyball team concluded its fall campaign at 9-27, which some would view as disappointing for a team that was 20-17 two seasons ago. However, with the turnover in experience the Arrows gained some experience for a young and inexperienced roster and showed signs of returning to a higher level of play in the near future.

Fox earns AMC Honorable Mention Team Honors
Junior Jamie Fox (Copley, Ohio), who reached 1,000 career kills and 1,500 career digs this season, was selected to the American Mideast Conference Honorable Mention Team. The honorable mention selection is the second of her career (2007 and 2009).
