Diane Davis Lardie Health Justice Fund

Diane Davis Lardie graduated from Ursuline College in 1959 as an English major.  While mothering six children by birth and adoption,  she taught religion and ethics for nearly two decades at greater Cleveland parochial schools. The last step in her career was as a leader in the fight for justice in health care, as the founding Executive Director of Universal Health Care Action Network (UHCAN), a nationwide network that prioritized faith-based and disability advocacy organizations.

To honor her lifelong support of healthcare justice, the Diane Davis Lardie Healthcare Justice fund will be used to fund honorariums for speakers at the White Coat ceremonies.  These speakers will continue to raise awareness of health inequities and to champion healthcare justice to every Nursing graduate of Ursuline College.  In this way, Diane’s vision for a better,  more equitable healthcare environment will be repeatedly shared to the newest members of the healthcare community on a regular basis.
