Ursuline College Presents Photography by Thomas Merton February 26 - April 11
A Hidden Wholeness: The Zen Photography of Thomas Merton exhibit will be held at Ursuline College's Florence O'Donnell Wasmer Gallery February 26 - April 11, with an opening reception on Saturday, February 27 from 1-3pm. A lecture by Dr. Paul M. Pearson, Director and Archivist for the Thomas Merton Center at Bellarmine University, will immediately follow the opening reception.
The exhibit includes 35 of Merton’s most powerful photographs from the Collections of the Thomas Merton Center at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. Merton was a Trappist monk at the Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemani in Kentucky. He is best known for his spiritual writings on contemplation, artwork and photography.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 12-5 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 1:30- 4:30 pm. Ursuline College is located at 2550 Lander Road in Pepper Pike. The Wasmer Gallery is on the west end of the campus. For more information, contact Frank Frate 440 646 8122.
