Terrence Tilley, Ph.D.
, the Avery Cardinal Dulles Professor of Catholic Theology and the Chairman of the Theology Department at Fordham University in New York will be presenting a public lecture on faith at Ursuline College on Sunday, September 18, 7:00 PM
in Klyn Hall at the Ursuline Educational Center, 2600 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, OH.
After receiving his doctorate in theology in 1976 from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkley, California, Dr. Tilley, taught at Georgetown University, Saint Michael’s College in Vermont, Florida State University, and The University of Dayton before accepting his present position at Fordham. In 2008 he was elected the president of the Catholic Theological Society of America. He has written over fifty articles for scholarly journals and authored ten books, the latest being: Faith: What It Is and What it Isn’t. One reviewer of the book wrote: “A knowledgeable and sophisticated analysis, but in language direct and clear enough for an undergraduate… destined to become standard college reading.”
