H.E.L.P. Malawi & Ursuline College present:
A Journey of Education and Empowerment for the Children of Malawi

The exhibit in February held at Ursuline College’s Wasmer Gallery highlighted individuals from Ursuline who traveled to Malawi in 2010 & 2011 to teach the people there to sew as well as to continue H.E.L.P.’s projects and many of the students’ work. Through many photos and items displayed in the gallery, viewers will take a glimpse into the lives of the children of Malawi.

A Journey of Education and Empowerment for the Children of Malawi” took place February 3-March 30, 2012. H.E.L.P. Malawi founder, Jillian Wolstein and Ursuline’s Director of Alumnae Relations, Tiffany Mushrush Mentzer curated the exhibit. Opening reception was held on Friday, February 3, 2012, 5 - 8 PM in the Wasmer Gallery.

Bringing “A Journey of Education and Empowerment for the Children of Malawi” to Ursuline College helped to educate northeast Ohio about the H.E.L.P. Malawi organization and how their collaborative work with Ursuline College will not only impact the lives of the children H.E.L.P. Malawi serves, but also students at Ursuline.

H.E.L.P. (Hope, Educate, Love and Protect) is an organization dedicated to sustainable primary education in impoverished African regions. The organization believes it is every child’s birthright to receive hope for a better future, education to grow, unconditional love, and protection from disease and illness.
