Ursuline College Receives Accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
Pepper Pike, OH – "Ursuline College is well-positioned with a strong, shared mission and has demonstrated its ability to maintain relevance in a changing world," according to visitors from the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, as part of Ursuline's regional accreditation re-authorization. The visit culminated in the College receiving a ten-year accreditation, the maximum possible. The College has been continuously accredited since 1931 and the next comprehensive evaluation will be in 2021-22.
The report found the College to be in compliance with all HLC criteria and the team chair stated that, "the Ursuline visit was one of the most positive that they had ever conducted." Furthermore, "It is evident that the College is committed to its rich and longstanding values and traditions."
"We are excited and honored to receive this accreditation from HLC" said Ursuline President Sr. Diana Stano, OSU, Ph.D. "This approval further allows Ursuline to continue to strive towards the goal of providing students with the highest quality education while focusing on the learning needs of women. The accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff and assures our students that they are receiving a quality education when they attend Ursuline."
