The College announces a search for a 10 month half-time faculty position in the Education Unit, preparing education candidates for licensure in special education (Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate). The contract position will run from August 15, 2009 to June 15, 2010.
Responsibilities
Teaching in the graduate and undergraduate teacher education programs, focusing on special education; advising students in the programs; participating in curriculum development; and working with the Education Unit in fulfilling its NCATE accreditation responsibilities.
Qualifications
An Ohio teaching license or certificate in special education (including mild/moderate) or related field; teaching, intervention specialist, or related experience in K – 12 education; excellent communication skills; the ability to work within a multicultural setting; flexibility and mature judgment; and a commitment to teaching in a challenging, collaborative, and values-based environment. Assistant Softball Coach – Part Time

Responsibilities
Assisting the head coach with organizing, coaching, recruiting and conditioning of student-athletes involved in a NAIA Division I women’s softball program. Duties include, but are not limited to, recruiting, practice and game coaching, conditioning and fundraising. Must be a college graduate, have softball experience and coach the program within the rules and regulations of Ursuline College, the AMC and the NAIA. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Ursuline College has both a non-traditional fall season in addition to the spring season.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Prefer (2) years of coaching experience at the high school level or above or college playing experience. Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and the ability to drive vans to and from contests. Commitment to high standards of character as well as a commitment to student-athlete success both academically and athletically. Experience in a multi-cultural environment.
