International Students

Six faculty members from Ursuline's sister school in Taiwan, Wenzao Ursuline College of Languages, are currently visiting campus for three weeks to improve their English and to have a firsthand experience of American culture. In addition to regular classes, they will have the opportunity to spend time with Ursuline faculty and staff, as well as enjoy many of the cultural activities that Cleveland has to offer. They will attend an Indians game, visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, check out the West Side Market, tour other local higher education institutions and more!

Ursuline College was founded in 1871 and was one of the first women-only colleges in the United States. Ursuline continues to focus primarily on educating women, although 9% of our undergraduate student population is men. Located on a beautiful, suburban campus in Pepper Pike, Ohio, USA, Ursuline offers a comfortable and safe environment in which to pursue your education.

Ursuline’s mission is to empower you to achieve your educational and career goals by providing personalized attention within a liberal arts higher educational environment. At Ursuline, you are respected as an individual and encouraged to develop your own voice so you can make a positive impact on your profession and your community.

The Ursuline community is rich with students from many different backgrounds, races, and religions. Each student is welcomed into a learning community which emphasizes academic excellence, value-based reflection, supportive collaboration, and the flexibility to meet the needs of our diverse student population. At Ursuline, every student’s success is the school’s success.

Ursuline College offers more than 30 undergraduate and 11 graduate programs. Ursuline faculty members are fully committed to student learning and accomplishment. Small class sizes enable you to get to know your professors well, and you can count on your instructors to guide and challenge you during your time at Ursuline.

There are bountiful opportunities outside of the classroom to have fun and build skills. Campus activities including student organizations and clubs provide both social interaction and personal development. In addition, Ursuline has an active athletics department with a variety of sports teams in which you can participate.

Beyond the Ursuline campus, you can take advantage of the ethnically-diverse city of Cleveland. Located on one of the Great Lakes, Cleveland offers everything from world-class cultural institutions to theatre to professional sports. For students interested in outdoor activities, the beautiful Cleveland Metroparks system is nearby.

During your time at Ursuline, you will be encouraged to grow as a whole person, confident in your values and your voice to realize the vision you have for yourself as well as society.
