Ursuline Hosts Spring Visit Day for High School Students
High school students and their parents are invited to attend Ursuline College’s on-campus May
4th, 10:00 AM Spring Visit Day at the Allan W. Fritzsche Center, 2550 Lander Rd, Pepper Pike.
“The only way for prospective students to really determine whether a college is right for them is to visit it firsthand,” said Kimberly Shepherd, Ursuline director of admissions. “Only then can they picture themselves as actual college students, taking classes, living in the residence halls, working out at the gym and eating in the dining halls.”
Long recognized for its health and human services programs, Ursuline offers more than 30 baccalaureate degrees. Faculty will be on hand to answer questions on a variety of majors, including nursing, pharmacy, business, biology, fashion, education and more. Prospective students will learn about scholarship and financial aid opportunities and participate in breakout sessions with Ursuline students where they will learn about college life. Campus tours will highlight state-of-the-art classrooms, residence halls and athletic facilities, all located on more than 100 wooded acres in Pepper Pike.
Information will also be available on the Ursuline Arrow’s eight varsity sports including volleyball, soccer, golf, basketball, cross country, track & field, softball and tennis. The College is a Division II member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the American Mideast Conference. Ursuline is a Champions of Character Program Center (one of two in Ohio) and is directly involved in instilling values in sports within the College and the surrounding community.
A world of mind and spirit immersion in education, community, leadership, values, citizenship and success, Ursuline teaches the empowerment of self. This nurturing environment encourages students to develop their values, find their voices and establish their vision for the future. Ursuline, the only women-focused college in the state of Ohio and one of a relative few in the United States, has a long history of educating students with a strong sense of peace and justice.
