Arrows compete at the 2011 NAIA Outdoor Track National Championships
This past weekend, seven members of the Ursuline College Track & Field competed in four different events at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, which was held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.
The 4x400 meter relay team of Tanisha Williams, Annie Grindle, Amber Bourcier, and Jaimie Grindle, who finished eighth in the nation at the Indoor National Championship, finished 16th with a time of 3:55.03. Their outdoor time was a second fast than their indoor time of 3:56.99.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Tanisha Williams, Melissa Zupec, Annie Grindle, and Jaimie Grindle finished in 16th as well with a time of 48.83 seconds.
Individually, Amber Bourcier took the highest finish for Ursuline on the weekend, running 13th in the 800-meter race. Her time was 2:14.61.
In the throwing events, Nicole Genske competed in the shot put, finishing 16th with a throw of 12.72 meters (41' 8.75"). At the Indoor National Championships, she finished 26th in the nation with a throw of 12.01 meters (39'5").
