The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Ursuline College sophomore Eadaoin Cronin the first 'Women's Golf Athlete of the Month' for the 2013-14 season for her efforts in September. Cronin helped the team to three top-five finishes and had a six-round average of 81.5.
In Ursuline's first outing of the fall, Cronin guided the team to a fifth place tie at the 16-team Evann Parker Memorial. Individually, she finished in a tie for 12th out of 83 participants with a 167 (81-86) that included a rain-soaked second round.
The team then moved straight into the next tournament the very next day and Cronin posted her lowest score of the season with a 160 (79-81) to finish tied for seventh in a field of 87 golfers as the Arrows tied for third of 17 teams at Gannon University's Michael Corbett Fall Classic.
After a break, Cronin and the Arrows returned to battle a field of seven teams that included four of the five G-MAC women's golf programs at the Ohio Valley Invitational. Cronin shot an 83-79 to finish in a tie for seventh as the team finished second and shot the lowest score among the G-MAC teams.
