First DNP Student Graduates from the Ursuline College Breen School of Nursing
Dr. Marisa Terrigno successfully defended her Doctor of Nursing Practice Capstone project and received her DNP degree January 4, 2013. Dr. Terrigno is a certified adult nurse practitioner. She works in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and as an adult nurse practitioner, Dr. Terrigno provides inpatient and outpatient care to patients with infectious illnesses in both community and long term acute care hospitals in collaboration with an infectious disease physician. She collaborates closely with physicians in other specialties including primary care and also with nursing and social service in order to provide multidisciplinary care to these patients. Dr. Terrigno received her BSN degree in 1999 and her MSN degree in 2007 from the University of Akron, and now she has achieved her DNP degree from Ursuline College. She is the first DNP graduate from this new program. The members of Dr. Terrigno’s Capstone project committee included Dr. Janet Baker, Chair, Dr. Mary Beth Zeni, and Ms. Anne Vanderbilt.
