Ursuline Launches Executive MBA Program

Ursuline College is pleased to announce a new Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) track. Addressing crucial trends that impact Northeastern Ohio’s businesses, Ursuline College has continued to enhance its graduate business programs by adding an EMBA program.

Unlike traditional graduate business programs that focus on teaching students about separate functional business processes from an historical perspective, Ursuline College’s new EMBA program is structured with the future in mind. It is intended to teach students to develop an integrated systems thinking perspective providing them with the ability to analyze interrelated and cross-functional connections in order to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the business environment. Ursuline’s EMBA combines business concepts with a concentration in ethical and entrepreneurial leadership. The College hopes to attract executives and managers who want to take their career and organization to the next level.

“We are extremely excited about our new EMBA program,” said Ursuline’s Interim Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies, Dr. Debra L. Fleming. “With the convenient schedule, working professionals are able to partake in this elite EMBA program while continuing their busy lifestyle, and still get an education above and beyond their expectations.”

The College’s faculty developed the program to have one concentration in ethical and entrepreneurial leadership. “This distinctive design feature will provide students with the benefit of obtaining a comprehensive knowledge base that is highly valued by employers in their hiring and promoting decisions,” said Fleming.

The 36-credit full-time program offers classes every other Saturday on Ursuline’s campus for a total of 24 class sessions, and many courses are taught online. Students are able to complete the program in as little as one year. In addition to flexibility, students enrolled in the EMBA program receive a tablet computer with pre-loaded course specific eBooks. Class meetings also include continental breakfast and lunch and prominent guest lecturers. Other benefits include automatic course scheduling and membership to Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). In addition, the program includes a study abroad trip to China.
