Sarah Hannibal, CFA, CPA
Sarah is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant (inactive), with over 20 years of accounting and finance experience.

"After college, I worked at Deloitte in the Audit Department. I audited mostly financial firms; banks, brokerage firms, credit unions and credit card companies. After five years, I realized I wanted to be on the front end of the business, not reviewing everything in painstaking detail a year later. So, I did what many undecided achievers do, I went back to Business School full time. It was here I was introduced to Wealth Management as a career. It was a perfect blend of financial analysis and personal interaction for me.  I accepted an internship and later a full-time job in the Associate Training Program at JPMorgan Private Bank. I worked there for five years on the brokerage desk, working with the rich and not-so-famous. I learned so much at JPMorgan and my clients and colleagues were enjoyable. However, I tired of arriving at my desk at 6:30am and resented being tethered to it all day. I only had five social lunches in five years!  At the time, I was single and knew I needed to take the risk and a make change. I was living to work, not working to live. Shortly after leaving, I connected with GEM Asset Management, LLC, a nascent firm based in Michigan. I knew the founder well and agreed to start a satellite office for them. After a few months of idle bliss and a language immersion program in Argentina, I started developing my own client base.  It was slow progress at first but after ten years, I have developed profound client relationships with many amazing people. I love going to work every day.  Being a trusted resource for my clients is rewarding in so many ways."

Sarah holds an MBA, University of Michigan Ross School of Business with Distinction, and a BS in Accounting, Miami University, Oxford Ohio.
